Hennepin County Residents
All members who rrside in Hennepin County:
On the agenda for tomorrow's County Board Meeting, is the authorization to issue the bonds for the Fort Snelling Upper Post housing project. As you may recall this is a $100 million + project that we have a signed PLA on. There is no cost to the county the developer will be responsible for payment.
If you live in Hennepin County, Please take a minute to call your commissioner today regarding the Fort Snelling Upper Post project. Ask them to vote to authorize the bonds for this project.
A yes vote will:
- Create hundreds of construction jobs
- Create 200 units of much needed affordable housing
- Ensure the preservation of these historic structures
Here is contact info for the commissioners and our read on their position on the project.
